Help with a tattoo? Anyone experienced?

Ok so I have few questions.

1) What does dry healing a tattoo mean?
2) How much time would it take for scabs to fall off?
3) Am I suppose to pull em myself?
4) Do some skin also come off with scabs?

I got tat on my forearm week ago and it started forming scabs on day 3 but they haven't come off yet. Then I realized I was putting too much ointment, I asked few people and they said dry healing is best. My scabs are still forming and maybe some are ready to fall off.

Anyone with ink or experienced with this stuff help me with it?

its okay. peeling/flaking/bruising/itching will vary based on things like the spot, how your body heals, etc etc etc. so don't worry. it will start to itch, do not itch it. i dont like dry healing my tattoos i like to keep it moist, it also helps the itching and just makes it feel better. i have a full sleeve, and here is how i healed almost all of my tattoos. aquaphor for the first 2-3 days twice a day, then lubriderm COLOR AND ODOR FREE (that is very important) once or twice a day until its healed. i moisturize my entire arm every day after the shower anyway so yeah.

Do not pull them off. Wash them as instructed by your tattoo artist and let them heal, also watch for signs of infection like bad smell or pus. I always put A+D ointment on mine until they're not longer puffy/redness is gone. If it doesn't heal after a couple days, ask your tat artist how to treat.

Don't pull them off. They will fall off naturally. Dry healing means applying minimal ointment. If it gets super dry and flaky, put a thin layer on after a shower.

Do you have any ink? And isn't it suppose to be dry? My scabs are coming off

I have a lot of ink :) its supposed to dry and heal, but if it gets too dry it gets super itchy and irritated. Scabs falling off is normal, just don't pick at em.

Damn. Finally someone with ink, Ok so what if they come off when I am washing em with unscented soap? And its coming off with little skin. Is it normal?

If the tattoo looks normal still, its fine. If you're really concerned about it, go to a tattooist and ask.
