How much xanax to take to not care about anything?

i have anxiety and can't even go out to the mall by myself or talk on the phone without getting nervous. i wanted to have a phone call but needed to know how much xanax to take to not care about anything?
it was my first time taking xanax and only took 0.25. the smallest dose. it didn't do much. and i took it an hour and a half ago. should i take another one?

yeaaah I know what you mean.

I dont actually have a lot of experience with xanax, you dont really get it here. I use diazepam for my anxiety. I'm surprised you didn't really notice a difference with 0.25, though. Xanax is pretty strong. Maybe it had an effect you didn't notice? If you need to though, up the dose... Take two or sth. Thats okay. I typically take 2 or 3 of mine because I've built up kinda a resistance to it... It depends on things like your weight, metabolism, yada yada. Like with alcohol!

Honestly, by the way, with benzos, they aren't like, magic spells, lol. They won't just make you overcome your deepest phobias in a few seconds. It just makes it easier to deal.

Don't mess around with it yourself. If you don't think the doseage is high enough you need to call your doctor and get the perscription adjusted. Messing with it yourself is dangerous.

nah its alright. The overdose on xanax is like 970 times the regular dose, lol. Its preeety safe.

TBH, Xanax is not a good drug for chronic anxiety. I take it occasionally for things like public speaking. Xanax lingers in the bloodstream a long time and it messes with your body chemistry and you can't get off it.
If you took.25 mg 1 1/2 hrs ago another 1/2 tab would probably be safe. A full tablet wouldn't kill you but you could get unpleasant side effects like forgetfulness.

See your doctor again to see if another medication or treatment is more suitable for long term help.

Meditation and breathing exercises will do more for your anxiety than Xanax ever will.

You might also consider gingko biloba and green tea.

Don't accept what Big Pharma tells you at face value.

Yea, do what anonymous said. Get professional help and ask about dosage. Don't attempt to do it yourself just ask your doctor and tell them it doesn't work as well as you'd like.
