How do you change your sleep to be awake more and sleep less?

The question is pretty simple. Let's say you sleep 10 hours and are awake for 14 hours, but I want more time.

I know it shouldn't be an issue having like 8 hours sleep, which means I could stay awake for 2 hours longer. That would give me A LOT more time.

How do you get this into a natural thing. I know most of you will probably say just go to bed 2 hours later then usual, but it'll leave me next level tired and less functional, but it really shouldn't be fucking things up getting 8 hours of sleep instead of 10.
