Capsaicin, a natural ingredient found in most spicy foods, has been confirmed to speed up your metabolism. However you should use it in moderation because it can also lead to ulcers.
Eating foods that are high in protein and high in fiber but low in everything else are good for your metabolism.
Finally, and this is not something I recommend but I have tried it and it works, there are pills you can buy for roughly $40-$80 a bottle for a 3 month supply at any health store such as GNC called thermogenics pills. They work by way of increasing your body temperature by a small amount, which speeds up your metabolism. It is important to follow the directions VERY carefully however and be careful which ones you buy as many of these can have harmful side effects when taken over an extended period of time. I DO NOT recommend this approach but you should know that it is out there and if you choose to do it you should do EXTENSIVE research on which ones are good and which ones aren't.
Finally, and this is the BEST way to do it, increase the lean muscle content of your body. The higher your ratio of lean muscle in proportion to body fat, the faster the body fat you do have burns away.
