Do you think I'm too thin?

I get comments from girls (mostly ones on the fluffy side) like "gain some wait", "guys flirt with you and not me because you're skinny", (behind my back) "she looks like a crackwh***. I mean they really get vicious. I'm 5'9" and 120 lbs. The only bones I have sticking out are my hip bones. I am skinny but I like my body. I just don't get being mean to me over it.

So my question is do you think I'm too skinny, and regardless, why do these girls feel the need to make comments about it?

120 for 5'9 sounds really light to me. I'm 5'0 and I weigh 105 and I'm little but I look healthy. You've got 15 lbs. on me and it's stretched out over 9 more inches so you must be skin and bones. People are probably commenting on it because you look unhealthy. If you go to one of those body mass index calculators you'll see that technically you are underweight. According to the one I'm using a normal weight would have your BMI between 18.5 and 24.9. My BMI at 105 lbs and 5 feet tall is 20.5 so even though I weigh less than most girls I'm still at a healthy weight. According to what you just said your BMI is 17.7 which does make you underweight but just barely. To be at the very bottom end of a healthy weight (18.5) you'd need to be 125 lbs. It probably wouldn't kill you to gain some weight but it's not like you're terribly unhealthy but people may be making comments just because they don't think you look healthy.

I know I'm underweight. I have tried to gain it but some people just can't. In fact I think 135 is how much I am supposed to weigh. I'm on no way trying to toot my own horn but people tell me they like the way I look almost on a daily basis whether it's friends, aquaintances or strangers. So either you can look good but unhealthy, it's that whole eye of the beholder thing, they're just catty or maybe all of the above.

Jealousy. Girls do all they can in their power to put other girls down, especially when they themselves are insecure.

They're jealous, and see you as a threat. Simple as that. And guys flirt with you, and not them because your body type appeals to them more. People don't seem to understand that physical attraction plays a role in the initial attraction point.

But, at 5'9" - I'd say you'd probably be better at 125-130 tops.

I'm 6'1 & weight 145. I'm skinny as hell. can't help it though. you don't sound under weight to me. people are gonna talk sh*t no matter what. heigh, weight, hair color, jeans you're wearing, perfume you got on.

Just stop affiliating with those types of people.
