12 perfect reps are better than 25 bad form reps.
Been trying to work towards muscle-ups. I used to do these super slow-motion pull-ups, like 30 secs on concentric, 30 secs eccentric, and some people thought that was impressive. But I found it doesn't work my lats at all when I do it that way. :-D
Muscle ups look super hard lol.
That’s no fun

Why is that?
cuz doing proper pull ups is hard as fuck. Even someone who is traning for like years and years can't do more then 20 proper pull ups lol
Years and years? You are 18. You make it sound like you have been training for 20 years lol. Some people like me have naturally stronger upper body’s.
well i dont care, im sure if you dont hit gym for years you can't do 25 proper pull ups. People are talking shit online, on internet all looks cool but in reality like retards. I see every day dudes that do pull ups and can't even do them proper and they wonder why they look like shit. And i dont have 20years of experience but i research a lot about fitness and learn about traning
or lets make it easier, how many muscle up you do?
Don’t know never tried. I got a strong bench though.
bench has nothing to do with doing pull ups. And "dont know never tried" probably means 0 so i would bett you can't do even 10 proper pull ups
Oh get over yourself. You are not contributing anything useful at all.
well talking lies online doesn't make you any cool especially when you are anonymous.
and this is actually proper pull up - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eGo4IYlbE5gand not this - https://youtu.be/upE02zEKD6E?t=26
Keep at it. There are specific exercises for your forearms. But the cool thing is pull-ups Are awesome for your back. My back is starting to widen thanks to them and other back exercises.
Thanks Anon, I've been seeing some improvement with some wrist exercises I've been doing, and yeah pullups are kick ass man!!
Yep, I have been doing a lot now and they are getting easier. Just keep working them out. I got to say pull-ups are going to help build up your biceps and forearms and help widen your back. All good stuff us guys want.
Haven’t tried chin ups lol. My max for pull-ups could be 30 lol,
Its reversedChinups are palms facing you, pullups are palms facing forward. Max pullups I've done is 27, heaviest is 2 reps with 50kg or 110lbs extra
@Pulimuli I thought those were not as hard as pull-ups, chin-ups are nothing for me. Lol
Chin ups are easier than pull ups as more support from the biceps is used
@YourFutureEx yeah. And my biceps are pretty strong so that may be why it is easer.
You use the same muscles in both, The only difference is that the biceps have worse leverage in pullups compared to Chinups
Must mean you have stronger parts of your back
True, but I also don't know how many I can do with either of the normal grips because I don't do them. My ceiling is pretty low in my gym, too, so I can't accelerate off the bottom or I'll bang my head. I'm guessing seven controlled reps counts for more than seven explosive ones.
Ouch shoulder injuries hurt
Yeah, for my enemies. Not for me
Good. Save your strength lol
Never had a reason to try it
Never had any reason to exercise in that way
not really my friend can do over 50
Is it a guy or a girl?
That can make a big difference no offense
what no... maybe... kinda... yah
Yep. Impressed he can do 50+
imagin me being like "yah right" and beting 20 on it then haveing to watch him do all 50
Lol. Have him try pushups with me. I do 120 in a row easily. Bet him 50 lol
Is he big or small. I am quite bulky but muscular so that might be why my amount is limited
he isn't huge but i would call him muscular
Yeah. I am quite dense and am bulking so that could be why for me.
see the only reason i can do 4 is im pretty light... i have no arm muscles.
Well that is okay
Thanks I try
I'm skinny af. I'm not hard to lift.
Hahaha. I am 160lbs. Not skinny lol.
