I've been pretty lucky with injuries. Only thing I can remember is being a kid, under 10, and playing over at my best friend's house, with her siblings. We were all jumping on the bed, being crazy and loud. We launched off, each taking turns. On one of my launches I flew into the 90° corner of the wall and cracked my head open. There was blood everywhere, dripping down my face. What I remember most about that, was that my friend's mom called my mom and asked her to pick me up, and she wouldn't, she didn't want to. And I was crying and really upset. I slept over there that night and when I woke up there was blood all over the pillow. I felt bad. Not until just a few years ago as an adult, did I mention this to my mum and say, "Yeah, I figured you were too busy have sex with x (her common-law husband at the time) to come get me." She said, "What? No, I don't remember that." I still have a ~ 3" curved dent in my skull. Wonder if that's why my short term memory is so bad.
Ouch. Has to hurt
Oh and I just remembered I have some stitches on my forehead from when a can fell on my head from a cupboard above (Campbell’s soup, I believe, or did I just make that up like Andy Warhol?) when my sister and I were together. I am not too good with head injuries!
I have a dent in my forhead and a scar. I dont know how it happened and I can't remember anything from my early childhood until after 3rd grade or so. I also have screws in my arm and leg from falling on metal railing when I was skating.
Yikes. Sound painful. Does it bother you in any way?
Not really. I learned to deal with the pain. Its just kinda awkward when the metal detector beeps at me
Hah yeah I can imagine that bring awkward.
Yeah, skateboarders sure get a lot of injuries.
