Im 20kg overweight
Im currently 75kg and want to be around 55kg

I've been going gym for 4 days a week
And trying to eat less fatty food

But my parents said gym is useless if Im overweight
Gym makes me more fat and gain weight/muscle

And I should do dancing, taekwondo or swimming instead
And diet too

Are my parents right?
