I'm not living on my own cash
All I have noticed was that I can lift heavier weights than before, went from 20 in the beginning of the year to 30
Dude, keep at it. The key is to be consistent.
Yeah I'm never stopping, I haven't token a break yet, even if I'm tired or dont feel like it, i still do it.Gonna go for 10 years at least
Do you do full body three times a week?Check out youtube fitness for some good exercises
No I alternate, I do arms 1 day, shoulder back chest the next, legs the next.Full body is too much work, I found this way just better for me to focus on 1 thing.Maybe when I get older I'd just do each of these muscle groups 2 times a week
Eating what ever
Well that’s like 60-70% of your problem right there.
I'm financially dependant
On my parents
So I'm just wasting time
Not necessarily. Understanding gym equipment, proper form, and the relationship between weight, repetitions, and number of sets is also pretty damn important.
Well I can lift more than before
So you have already seen improvement. What are you bitching about?
I dont see the aesthetics
If you are only working out for a physically observable change you are a fool.
That's the point
Yeah like you need to do more sets/reps. You can’t just walk in and say “I wanna work on my abs today” and then just do whatever workouts you think are good for it. Like you need to be disciplined in your routines. That’s what working out is all about: the discipline and repetition
That's what I do
I take alternate on a schedule and do the same exercises
Good. Keep it up and continue to increase the weights. Again diet is very important
I use to struggle with 20 beginning of the year, but now I can lift a good 30lb in 1 hand.Same with my shoulders
My friends say they see progress with what I lift but I just dont see the look u know
Well remember you see yourself everyday. So your results in your eyes are going to seem small. Take photos of your progression. Try to duplicate the area, lighting, pose, etc in each photo to really see the progress.
Thing with that is, when I look in the mirror I look bigger but in the camera I look super small. No idea what to believe lol.
Don’t worry about it TOO much. Just continue to put in the work and the results will follow, regardless of what photos show. Working out does take time. So just be patient and stay disciplined
Okay. But how are people getting progress in a month
That stuff bothers me because I feel like I'm doing something wrong when people show pictures of transformations after a month or 2
Those people are probably strict on their diet, they’re putting in extra hours each day. Working out extra days in the week. Packing on extra weights. In short, people who get faster results are very disciplined and are putting in hella work
I see, I'm working out as a hobby, not as a job. Maybe that's my problem. But I'm still in school so I dont got time.I'm the most dedicated in my school rn, I haven't stopped or missed a day of working out
I eat 3 times a day, really rare for me to eat anything less. But I have a fast metabolism so it's so hard
Nah you’re doing just fine. School comes first :)
I'm scared that in a year, I'm gonna look like a stick
Lol you’ll be fine
Yeah, might take me 10 years to get that perfect body
