Advice for going through the 5 stages of grief?

I know it can't be easy, but do you know anything that could be helpful, or anything to avoid during the process? I don't think it will be as clean cut as the neat little 5 stages things comes across as, but I figure that might help to keep track of it at least, so it's easier to tell if you get stuck somewhere.

As far as I can tell I'm in denial. At least, I haven't hit anger yet.
