the heaviest thing is water bottles.
24 pack I mean
apple24: You have to gauge that against how you feel. You could call ahead, and say I want to come in to work, but am not sure my back will be OK< but you think it will be. The 24 bottles aren't all that heavy, but it's the leaning over and repetition that may be the problem. So again, gauge your back, if you feel it will be OK, then go in.
apple24: Gauge, in the sense of processing in your mind, my back feels this way, it's this much better than before, and I think it's good enough to lift bottle packs and work. Or, My back is still quite sore, though the packs aren't that heave, my back is not likely to last to finish the work. Which ever way your judgment finds it.
