Does weight distribute differently based on which foods are eaten?

For example, if I ate the same amount of calories in [fast food/snacks/cake/candy] as I did of [lean meats/ rice/ veggies/ fruit], would the first option make me gain more belly fat and "love handles" than the second?

Or would the weight from both types of food go to the same undesirable places since the calories would be the same?
