I had a vasectomy 25 years ago, and almost immediately regretted it. I would have never done it knowing what I know now. The good part is no more kiddies, and I was ready for that.
The bad part is I had some of the major side effects: 1. Post surgical infection of both incision points. I had abscesses the size of a nickel on both sides. Took 60 days for them to clear. 2. My balls ached for at least a year The sad part was my urologist didn't give a shit, and no one from his office would return my calls. 3. Then there is the primal/psychological aspect of it. Anyway you look at it, you are infertile. You know it, and your female knows it. Rational or not, that fact sits in the back of your head. In college I had a girlfriend were we intentionally timed sex so that she was constantly carrying my live load in her womb for over six months. It was a fetish, obviously but we both really got off on it. Primal.
Now, my wife was great about it, and appreciated not having to get a tubal ligation, as her gynecologist was leaning on her hard to get off BC pills. I'm pretty sure it didn't make any difference to her, but it did to me.

Absolutely not. If a man is done having kids (or doesn't want any to begin with), it's actually a very clever thing to do. Getting a vasectomy is a really quick and easy procedure. And if you're in a monogamous relationship (and neither of you have STDs), you don't have to buy any condoms or pills anymore. And considering how bad the pill can be for a woman's body, I think getting a vasectomy is the least a dude could do if he doesn't want to use any condoms.
Having a vasectomy doesn't make you more or less of a man. It is just a way of preventing unwanted pregnancy and an effective one. I think it can be a sensible choice if a couple are done having kids or don't want any. Then you wouldn't have to worry about birth control.
I had a vasectomy but only cuz I was done making babies , I would just look at my ex and she would get pregnant lol so I am glad I had it done considering my kids are older now and for me to start all over isn’t really on top of my list , I just want to find a girl that wants to spoil each other , do things together and have tons of sex , so I honestly think it made me more of a man cuz now I can have sex without having the fear of getting her pregnant I can focus on making her have an amazing orgasm

Side effects doctors never tell you about is the weight gain and the lack of sex drive. There is also more than enough evidence that when a person has this operation, they have a 1 in 2 chance of contracting a life threatening disease, prostate cancer being the most prevalent.
It's just plain unhealthy and when a woman learns that you have done this, I'll bet her interest in having you as a life partner goes way down.
Does a hysterectomy makes a woman less of a woman?
I know, I know, different scenario of course, as a vasectomy is usually voluntarily and a hysterectomy is only done when it's needed. So from that point of view not comparable as the reasons to do so are different. But the outcome is the same: the inability to produce offspring.
I think vasectomy is quite common for men who already had multiple kids and don't want any more kids. It's a simple surgery, no big deal. In my opinion, the ability (or not) to produce offspring doesn't define how manly a man is.
That's one of the dumbest things I've heard. Some people truly believe that a vasectomy means your balls get cut off. No, no, don't think so. Doesn't effect you testosterone levels at all. So if you feel that way as a man you are obviously insecure with your masculinity, vasectomy or not.
It has no affect on sexual performance in any way, he has normal erections, climaxes the same and he still ejaculates. You cannot tell any difference... there just are no sperm in the semen. He just cannot get anyone pregnant. Great option for unihibited sex for a couple that already has kids or for a guy who knows he never wants kids.
I've always been curious of the medical consequences, but never thought less of any man who's had the procedure done. In fact, for some, I think more highly of them for being responsible. My uncle Joe, HUGE pussy hound, never wanted children and never changed his mind slightly about it over the years. He got a vasectomy in his 20's and never looked back. I can respect that. He knew he'd be a terrible father.

Not at all. It's smart if he doesn't want kids (especially since I've known some awful women who try to lie about being on the pill, poke holes in condoms, etc. to try to get pregnant by a guy they know doesn't want kids).

The responses I got from my male friends were very very different. A few of them absolutely felt I was giving away my manhood. I do not feel this way but they expressed their feelings vividly.
There is no weight gain, no lack of sex drive and certainly no increase in prostate cancer. The procedure is very fast and rather simple. I do not regret my choice as it was the responsible thing to do considering I have a very active sex life. Either way you’re untitled to your opinion and I respect that

Absolutely not. Unless you think women getting a hysterectomy or their tubes tied makes them less of a women? It's a nice an easy way to avoid unwanted pregnancy's. Certainly easier than what a women needs to go through to get sterilized
I had it after my second kid. It made no difference in my sex-life; frequency, 'performance', sex drive. No regrets. To cut off sperm production does not change character traits - I am the same man that I always have been.

No it just means he doesn't want any kids. There are numerous reasons why not enough money no interest doesn't like kids doesn't have the time physically/mentally cannot take care of kids.
VASECTOMY is a tough procedure for most of men to do. but it doesn't make him a less of a man from the outside but he probably feels depressed a little about all will ok. Note: We men doesn't consider weakness or just lack of some money or anything else is makes a man less exception to that if he doesn't stand with his family or close people when he's needed!! No. My uncle played hockey before messing up his foot during a sailboat race (hockey was for fun, sailboat tacd was professional, but he loved doing it). He had a vascetomy almost as soon as he got married because neither he nor his wife wanted kids. Most people who play hockey are pretty manly.
Hell no. If you already have your kids and do not want more, a vasectomy is a real option. Also, this prevents a woman from trying to trap a man by pregnancy.
Here is an awful factoid: Did you know a married woman can get an abortion without the consent or even informing her husband, BUT a married man has to get WRITTEN consent from his wife to get a vasectomy?
welll... it removes certain responsibilities from his life... or future responsibilities... so it's possible to view him as less of a man... but a lot of people really shouldn't reproduce... maybe not a high percentage tho... so they might be doing the gene pool a solid by decomming themselves
