girls, I am 42 I will be 43 next month, recently my periods have been very irregular, might be 35 days or 23 days, my flow has been insane, so bad I need to change my tampon at times within an hour. I've been to my GYN and GP as part of my discharge is water like, with a ammonia like smell. It is clear, so some of my tampon changes are just soaked with clear liquid. None of my doctors have been able to give me an answer as to the cause of this. My mom and sister have not experienced this and my mom had her periods into her early 50s, my grandmother was in her late 40s. I think I might be starting menopause. I started my period when I was almost 14. Tired of having to travel with a dozen tampons in my purse each day. Has this ever happened to any of you? I appreciate your thoughts.
