Why can't I achieve?

So I ordered some veggies and white rice from a chinese resturaunt. It had sauce on it.

I ate a lot of it. I stepped on the scale and weighed 232! I weighed 229 yesterday.. :( I drank and ate this. Should I not weigh myself after drinking water? It kind of was a big portion but this is all I will be eating today since it was a big meal. I have been fasting at work cause I work night shift. I just wanna lose this weight.. I did a 30 minute workout today too.
Why can't I achieve?
