Is weight loss always measurable?

When I look at physical markers of weight loss, like being able to fit on the chair I used at age 10 or having the neckline in a pre-weight loss outfit be so low it reaches below my boobs and is no longer usable, it’s clear I’ve lost a ton of weight. But the net weight loss isn’t too encouraging and neither is the inches I measure when I assess how many inches my legs or tummy is. Is it possible to lose weight with only mild differences in quantifiable measurements?
