Why does my knee feel like jelly after toning exercises?

I’ve been exercising. Going for walks mainly.
I've started to do toning exercises.
Some have involved bending your leg to the side, so your knee bends.
I've done these for last few nights after my morning walk.
My knee feels like jelly & just noticed this today.
Is it damaged?
