What’s it about? I’ll look into it.
Think I said... it talks about the undervalued self. I think it's chapter 3 where the book starts to talk about past traumas.
I didn’t know points mattered that much
So maybe you will be lucky 13? ... lolOK, here is what you do. This will fix your problem, but only if you really want it fixed, so that will remain the big question really. You said..."I beat myself up over things that I can no longer control". Please note the word "MYSELF".There are two types of selfishness. One is a good type, but the other? ... well, not so much. The bad one wallows in past mistakes, inadequacies, insecurities and self doubts. The good one focuses on "doing" things that instill a good form of pride and accomplishment in improving ones self by "helping others improve themselves"The big question is... How do you do that?It called "Volunteering"Find any one of a host of Agencies in your area that need you, want you and would absolutely LOVE YOU for helping them. Some of these are...1) Women's and Children's Centers2) Hospitals3) CERT (Community Emergency Response Team) Google it or contact your local Fire Department for more information4) American Red Cross5) Churches6) Hundreds of othersYou will meet the best people on the planet who will totally love you for helping them. It can be one hour per week or several, whatever your schedule will allow. If you take what I am saying seriously your problem will solve itself. Life is a serious of choices, some of them are good ones and others, well, not so much. Now it's up to you. You can focus only on "Yourself" and wallow in your problems or you can "Help Others" solve theirs and by virtue of doing so, solve yours. Will you be #13 on my list of GAG failures or #1 on my list of GAG successes? ... the choice is yours alone :)Good luck!
