Best to help with asthma?

I have horrific asthma. I take a Claritin pill and a prescription grade asthma depressant medication, and a disk asthma medication every morning. I use a rescue inhaler throughout the day, and then at night I use benadryl and the disk again. Often I need to wake up in the middle of the night and need my inhaler.

It's embarrassing and expensive and altogether inconvenient. It greatly impacts my quality of life.

Now I'm researching humidifiers and dehumidifiers. Which one will help my air quality to hopefully reduce my flare ups best?
