Why should I take care of myself? Why should I lose weight?

I'm exhausted from trying to develop new habits when I can't stick to it. The most I did was 5 months and it went well, but since then I've gained even more weight than what I started off with. Why shouldn't I just give up and let myself eat however I want? Is it really worth it?
