I need a normal sleep schedule, like everyone else has. During this pandemic I have stopped working and I am at home so my sleep is messed up. I fall asleep in the morning and I wake up at 5pm. I am slowly getting depressed here. So today I woke up at 5.30 PM and I thought I should stay awake until next evening. The problem is I tried this a few times before but I end up falling asleep by 11 maximum 😟. Please. Any suggestions?
You need to create structure. It will take time but retrain your bed room and bed to be for sleep only. And create project lists for your days. Maybe to kickstart this. Black tea in the morning and light melatonin dose in the evening. Of better yet dream water. What do you do during the day? Is it nothing ideally because you have all the time in the world? Set timed goals. Learn how to cook duck flambe or how ever its spelled. Learn how to cut the top of a Champaign bottle off. Its a very cool skill to have. When you find your self to relaxed and sleepy, don't sit down and read or look on your phone or do bills. Stay standing and us your hands. Make play dough than build a small alien ant farm.
Its not easy. I know. I struggle with it too. But action is ths key.
Well I am doing groceries, cooking, doing chores.. cleaning and fixing things. When I get tired I lay down and watch movies. That's not good, I know. I will try to reset my schedule by sleeping just 3hours in the morning and try to stay awake and active until evening comes. 😕😮

Caffeine, sugar, staying active, eating properly. Something like that These seem to disagree 😂 but they also encourage sleep though too

To keep my hours on point, I’ll set my alarm early, have my coffee then my pre-workout drink... do some light weight lifting or cardio, then go about my day. It releases just enough endorphins to keep my upbeat, and pumps me up all day that I’ll be wiped out by midnight. I sleep less and I have more energy. It keeps me sane. You gotta be consistent.. I wake up right before my alarm goes off now, like my body adjusted to this routine

I usually keep myself busy with a variety of tasks. Meanwhile, make sure to keep hydrating yourself as long as you're awake.

Been there many times. I suggest when you go to sleep in the morning you set your alarm to 3 hours or so. It will be tough getting up, but still much easier than staying awake all day after no sleep at all. The only other alternative is to take sleeping pills.
No I meant actual sleeping pills like Ambien. You take one and half an hour later you fall asleep. Herbal pills won't help much. But yeah, definitely try the 3 hour thing first.
When I have a bad nights sleep I drink lots of coffee during the day to keep me awake. I also have to keep busy. If I try sitting down for a minute I start dozing off. Keep moving, keep your mind going and drink caffeine.

Exercise in sufficient amounts (30 minutes 2x) will be sufficient, if you do one cycle when you wake up and one when you'd prefer to be in bed... it's all about the fatigue.
Do some cardio fitness training early in the morning. Then try to run on coffee until about 14:00 or so. Do not drink coffee after that cuz it takes up to 8 hours for caffeine to stop working in your body.
