I don't really exercise to lose weight since I can lose weight faster with diet - nor do I do it to gain muscle cause I believe I have enough muscle on my body
I do it to improve my posture and keep my blood flowing in a healthy way and to protect myself from future back pain and to build my pain tolerance so if I give birth or one day get sick - I will be able to handle the crises
also to improve my fertility in the event I decided to have biological children one day - and to decrease the appearance of wrinkles cause I believe that exercise keeps you looking youthful
I also read that exercise lowers your risk for many cancers and diseases so that is another reason I exercise
and I want to be healthy enough for house chores such as vacuuming or mixing meat balls or carrying water bottles down the stairs when I'm older and nearing the stage where people usually depend on others
I also want to improve my mental functioning so that I won't get brain issues when I'm older. And I read that exercise can enhance and maintain brain function.

Well, the human body is a machine that was made to be used. If unused, it gets rusty and creaky. Not from age but from disuse. Exercise gives you an endorphin boost: makes you feel better naturally. Clears the head, the heart the lungs. Rids your body of toxins, keeps your colon active in expelling bodily wastes, sweat expels toxins too. Exercise gives your skin a glow. It cleans out your mind and your body. Not talking about anything seriously strenuous. A brisk walk that gets your heart pumping and gets you a little sweaty for about 30 minutes. If you want to build muscle, you've got to do something more strenuous. Weights and stretches. But that's good too.
It makes you healthier, and more fit. Stronger to recover from disease or terrible inuries it can also heltp to improve your general mood it reduces stress it enhances your metabolism and many other processes the body needs to keep you younger
Me personally it's because I want to tone up, get that fit looking body that I always wanted to have not only that but once you work very hard and see progress when you see you're body in the mirror it makes all that dedication, hard work and sweat well worth it!
It enhances every part of your life. You will be more energetic and will perform better at your job. You will be able to run and jump and approximate a younger person (if you are over 40). You will be more confident and maybe fearless. You will be healthier. Your blood pressure and cholesterol will be lower (if you are over 40) and it is also good for stress. It's nice to have strength and endurance too. You never know when it could come in handy.

Energy and muscle mainly , I use to say healthy but that isn’t true , I know people that ate clean , exercised daily and still dropped dead at a young age , so exercise has nothing to do with health , it just improves your energy and muscle and helps you get laid easier

I do it so i can stay safe, so i can stay healthy, so the ladies can at least know for sure i look like i can fight and so men can stop bothering me. confidence and its just fun. As for downside i don't think women want a body builder as a husband, doing it to much can strain or even break your muslces. Hard to go to sleep afterwards and also extreme hunger
Because it nourishes your body. You won't get sick often. You release dopamine and it makes you feel fresh and attentive. It boosts your concentration and makes you comfortable with your body. Also, it reduces anxiety. Your mood improves.

Clears your mind of stress. And depression.
Keeps diabetes and high blood pressure away.
Burn off excess energy so you'll sleep better. Or in my case kills my sexual urges
Health. You're body will be able to do more things without damage. Agility can help you in a lot of situation and you really don't want to be winded after just a floor of stairs.

I felt a lot better physically and mentally when I used to work out... But it can also take a toll on your body, as it's not meant for that much repeated stress.
Everyone has mentioned the positives already so I will tell you the negatives. It's a chore it can take a good hour out of your day. Missing workouts can make you unhappy. Working out/exercise isn't always fun it can be boring.
I feel better, can get more done through the day, and have some deeply satisfying long lasting fun in the bedroom 😃

Typically exercising generates endorphins and endorphins make people happy which makes your day better. My mom's job was usually very stressful. She felt much more relaxed during work when she swam laps before going into work.

Two main reasons: 1) have more energy, 2) look good naked. My guess is you're doing JUST fine on number 2 at the moment, so really for you it's going to be about maintaining that having more energy.

To be healthy and to attract the member of the opposite sex
It's healthier, both physically and mentally, makes you superior than the average oerson, makes you better looking, teaches you to push through the pain and work hard etc.
