Are you depressed?

I know a lot of people who suffer from depression and worse..

As a Vietnam veteran, I spend much of my days inside with my cats so that I don't blow off steam on some unsuspecting civilian when they piss me off. That's my PTSD in full bloom. Being inside all day, primarily because of the Covid pandemic, I take an antidepressant. I don't own a gun for this reason.

I think it’s best that you don’t own one. It sure serves a great purpose in terms of self defense, but under those circumstances I’d say you’d be better off with a stick.

My dad also fought in the war for 7 years. He barely talks to anyone and spends most of his time just fixing the house or the car.

I have 15 swords and a dozen knives of varying length in the house, 3 of which are within arm's reach. That's my protection.

So sorry man, i have ptsd as well from sexual abuse. Ptsd is hell. One time some woman called me a name in the mall (she was a bitch, but she messed with the wrong person ) and i did blow off a lot of steam. And everyone in the mall were terrorized. The anger of someone with ptsd can have a very scary face.

I did have some minor depression in school caused by bullies but that went away after graduation.

Then my ex wife abused me so bad I suffer from PTSD, and depression. It was horrible marriage, major manipulation and mental/emotional abuse.

So yeah, I now see depression as a disease and I feel for people who die from it.

No I am not diagnosed, but everyone has their moments. I do have a friend that is on medications for anxiety and depression. Definitely not something to play around with. If you think you need help get it. Speak to someone. It helps.

Someone once told me that I am suffering from PTSD and I should go to therapist. Does that count? I don’t think so.

Depends on the severity, if you don’t believe you have it then don’t worry about it, it’s your life to live not theirs so do as you please.

I always feel sad and depressed and alone. It stems from my childhood abuse by my mother. She killed her first two daughters from her first two marriages. I felt like she always wanted me to die as well and tried numerous times to kill me as well.

No i dont have depression. Just horrible anxiety caused by ptsd. And also a little bit of anger. I felt depressed in the past but its not something that sticks.

Hopefully it gets better! I personally don’t like to think about depression but if someone’s going through it that’s close to me I’m always there for them! With that being said, you can always chat with me about it if you want/need. 💁🏼‍♀️😊
