What to do if one moment he says me to stay away, next moment asks why I was not sweet?

he has some health problems now and he feels bad almost all the time.I try to help him as much as I can but it seems that it is never enough!

Well simply explain to him that every time you try to get close to him he clearly states that he doesn't want you to be that way. So when you explain that to him he can understand. But don't make it seem like its making you upset cause that can cause a huge conflict. Just speak in a clear mellow tone.
