Would you know covid existed if it weren’t for the media hype?

Question

Posed this question to a user on here, and I first saw it in a argument I got dragged into on Facebook
If it weren’t for every media outlet on earth relentlessly beating this into us for the past 2 years, would you even know covid existed?

Its really eye opening, I’d sure never thought of it that way. I sure as hell wouldn’t, I had it as did just about everyone I know and it was nothing we haven’t seen before. Just like any other common cold

Spanish Flue that killed over 50 million people didn't have to be advertised, constantly reminding people of it's existence 24/7/365 for 2 consecutive years in a row. Nobody had to bribe people into taking poison into their body, nobody had to be punished, jailed, silenced or killed. Do you know why? Because it was REAL! people saw it, absolutely everyone knew some who died, dead bodies were Everywhere you looked, on the streets, bus stations, train stations, inside of houses, ship yards etc... and because of that every person worked together to get rid of this virus. Whatever we are having now is FAKE! it is not real, but the side effects from the mark of the beast (vaccine) is VERY real and super deadly and that is what will be killing 100's of millions of people, not a virus that has a 99.97% survival rate, but the perfectly engineered bio-weapon that billions of people already took.

I mean I have no doubt there’s a virus going around, I just don’t believe it warrants the actions that have been taken. Spent enough of my life around things that will kill me if I’m not careful, I know when to be scared. Two years in I have yet to see any reason to be concerned

Strangely , I was asking this exact question last night , and guess what? If nothing changed and no one said anything about some " killer flu " I would never have known , I didn't need to know , and they simply didn't need to close anything..
All bs -- but boy , made some money for Big Pharma and the media , that's for sure.

I think you are spot on , and it brings up another topic of " fear creation " , did you know for example , if you go to a person and say , I want to put a really big sign on your lawn ( for anything ) they say NO - But , if you ask to put a small sign , they say YES , you can overtime , eventually get them to put up the large sign. Remember we were told " Flatten the curve " ?

If it weren't for the media beating covid to death I wouldn't know it was a thing. It has been going around for 2 years now. Just his past week is the first time I know any one that has come down with covid. Without the test they most likely wouldn't have known they had it.

Your lack of experiences doesn't mean others haven't experienced it personally. In the case of the death, it was my brother in law. He was 31 and unvaxxed. He was not overweight (in fact he was relatively on the thinner side) and had no other known health issues.

People can stick their head in the sand and pretend this is "just a flu" or that it only kills the old, but that is just them being terrified of facing reality.

It was a legitimate question, like I said based on my experiences and many other’s too it hasn’t been anything unusual.
Strongly disagree on that last point though. I’m choosing not to live in fear, it’s those that are turning that into blame because they can’t handle reality.

Guess it depends on your take of reality. You don't live in it until you experience it. That's why you bury your head when it comes to others experiences. It's why so many say "that'll never happen to me" until it does and then they blame everyone else but never their own actions.

I was just asking if anybody had any personal experience with it, I don’t know anyone that has.
Guess I’m just a believer in allowing people to decide what risks they’re willing to take. I’ve spent the bulk of my life around jobs and hobbies that can will kill me if I’m not looking after myself, there’s just an inherent degree of risk to everything I don’t let it get to me

Sure take risks with your own life, but if you go out and catch it and then pass it on to someone who is unable to get vaxxed for one reason or another you directly have a hand in their potential death. That's not just a risk to you. You are taking a risk with others lives and that in not ok with.

Which circles back to ensuring our own safety. People are more than welcome to stay home if they’re worried, most of us are probably gonna get it eventually anyway

My boss caught COVID and was in the hospital for 3 weeks. Now he going to rehab every day to learn how to fully breath again. He been doing that for almost 2 months.
