Dude, I know how you feel. My ADD medicine is *crucial* to my ability to focus at my new job. It sucks that we're basically ingesting slower, lower dosages of C2 drugs. It's crucial to have a steady supply of the drugs.
Keep trying and explain to whoever you contact (doctor, pharmacist, receptionist) that it's very difficult for you because of the legalities involved. Tell them "I wouldn't be so persistent if this weren't important, but I just got a new job and I have to do everything I can to be 100% operational".
If at all possible, try to save up on the medication if you have ANY left. I did that by not taking it on weekends or holidays.

Well, I'm not sure where live (since it might be different in different countries), but in Canada, you can go to a walk-in clinic to get a prescription refill (though, I'm not completely sure if they would do this for you, since it might be different for narcotics because of the potential for abuse, and since it's a new medication for you, they may prefer that you see your family doctor/GP so they can assess you/make sure the medication is working properly, etc. since the doctor at the walk-in clinic doesn't know you or your history). But if you're desperate, it might be worth a try.
It's probably a good idea to try to get your doctor to fax your pharmacy just one more refill until you can get an appointment for a full prescription - they did that once with my birth control when I couldn't get an appointment in time. Just explain your situation to them, they should be able to help. Other than that, I'm not sure what else you could do. I know walk-in clinics or urgent cares don't refill those medications, not here anyway.
