- Eat high in protein, protein makes you feel fuller better than anything else for the number of calories it provides your body
- Eating high protein doesn't mean always eat bad stuff with it; a steak is a lot better than a fatty hamburger with white bread buns, for example
- The closer a food is to how it is found in nature, the better
- If it is sugary, spit it out
- Do exercise every day for at least ~30 minutes, it gives you a short-term metabolic boost that burns a lot of calories
- Skip breakfast and just eat lunch and dinner
- Drink before and after every meal to help you feel fuller
- Drink only water beverages with little to no calories (diet drinks, tea, coffee, etc.) Non-fat milk is really good, however
- Chill out: stress releases hormones that increase fat storage
- Take a daily multi-vitamin and fish oil: this just helps your body with everything including weight loss and is hands down worth every penny
- Get enough sleep: this also helps regular proper body function and let your body naturally burn more fat

What works for my sister is drinking tons of normal water. She also walk daily. Avoids sweets and midnight snacks. And eating breakfast is a big one, she eats two wheat toasts with nutella (or whatever you like) and orange juice. Also if you are a dessert kind of gal who must eat dessert than eat a whole fruit before and after your meal, it raises your blood sugar and then you won't be so inclined to eat sweets. Natural yogurt is a yummy snack and the ones with live active cultures is actually really good for you girls.
You need to lower your calorie intake. One pound of fat equals 1200 cals. Stick to veggies and protein (meaning chicken, fish). Don't eat fried food no matter how good it looks. Idealy you want to get a full serving of two different kinds of veggies each dinner meal and then switch the colors. Cut down on sugars, if you use that in your tea then switch to 0 cal choices. Get a lot of wheat and whole grains as well. I personally take multivitamins plus green tea supplements (because I don't always remember to drink as much green tea as I should). As for your workouts, how intense are you setting the elliptical to? Having no resistance/leverage and a low speed will get you no where quick. Push yourself! You want to be covered in sweat and hurting by the end of your workout. To get something you've never had you need to do something you've never done.
