After a while of not eating, physical symptoms include shaking, fatigue, heart palpitations, light-headedness and dizziness. More often than not, it also messes with us mentally. No nutrients supplied to the brain means we get confused and cognitively we deteriorate a bit. Of course if it goes too much longer than just a day, people experience more serious symptoms. I'm not talking about going for 3 days straight without eating, I mean others who try to eat more the the way you do, one meal or so a day thinking they'll lose weight and that's all. Gradually, the body falls behind in nutrients, which results in vitamin deficienies, like iron deficiency anemia, which can be a serious or fatal condition if left ignored. The body falls behind in nutrients not only because 'you aren't eating enough' but also because you're obviously not going to be able to provide your body with enough variety to sustain nutritional needs. For instance, vitamin C aids the absorption of iron, but if you're only eating something with vitamin C once every few days, and something with iron once every few days, your body doesn't absorb nearly enough of either.
If you're happy with the way you eat, and you're not suffering the reprocussions, then don't worry about what people tell you, but try to understand where they're coming from. It's not every day we find people who don't seem to eat enough, who are actually healthy doing it.

Because it is unhealthy... It has really bad effects on you eternally and in the long run in can cause serious health issues. The only healthy way to loose weight is to eat healthy foods and correct size portions for you and exercise regularly. Also most of the time it never works because people can't stick to it which is a good thing because you should never starve your body of nutrients because you won't function properly and get sick. You aren't trying to change the American eating habit heaps of people in the states starve which is just as unhealthy as over eating, if you want to make a change health healthy. You sound beyond stupid.
You need to eat to function at a competent level. If you starve yourself, you might live but you won't be able to think as well as you can and you won't be as physically capable of doing routine work.
If you lose weight by not eating, you'll gain that weight back once you start eating. It's that simple. So you have choices. You can lose weight by starving yourself, which leads to decreased motor skills and cognitive abilities. Or you can lose weight through good diet and exercise, which will INCREASE BOTH your motor skills and cognitive abilities. To me, the choice is obvious.
Our body is a machine, that requires continuos nutrients, to function properly, and it lots depends on the Basal Metabolic Rate.
If a person with High BMR starts to skip his meals, than he would start feeling down and low, on the other hand a person with low BMR, can have an upper hand in this situation.

if your not eating at all your not getting the proper nutrients...let me decipher this for you. Nutrients your body needs DOES NOT make you fat. It keeps your body alive! Foods without nutrients aka white bread, crackers, donuts, french fries, fried foods etc is just dumping "emtpy calories into your body. Your body transforms those calories into fat...the solution is eat nutritional foods (along with exercise!).
I know sometimes it may seem easier to skip that meal but honestly you'll feel soso so much more energized if you eat at least(!) three (healthy) meals a day.Its suboptimal. so you are doing dangerous things that are probably not even the fastest way to lose fat.
If you want an extreme diet, it would be reasonable to research these things properly and read what nutritionists who write about crash dieting say,not what some model heard worked well.You are putting your body into starvation mode.

^shows why it is unhealthy for your body.Mostly because it actually slows your metabolism down when you don't eat so later when you are off your no eating diet you will have messed up the way bodies processes food since it doesn't think you are going to give it enough. And if you are going to stay on your not eating diet forever that is called anorexia and a whole different problem.

You might lose weight but it's an unhealthy weight loss. Do what you want, but live with the consequences. Short term gain for long term loss.
