Pimple gel with 2% salicylic acid. It will help FADE the red/purple marks. :) It's so much faster than waiting for it to go away. I like to use Neutrogena rapid action gel, can't remember the name but it's in a small orange and see through tube.
Keep in mind that when using salicylic acid on your skin, tour skin will be much more susceptible to skin damage from sunlight. What I mean is, it could easily replace that old pimple mark for a freckle or sunspot. To avoid that, make sure to use SPF. Try to get a non greasy one, make sure it feels light or it'll probably add more acne spots. :p If you need help selecting a good sunscreen and moisturiser let me know.
go to the body shop and buy tea tree oil soap and the blemish spot treatment! kills those suckers in no time
Go get yourself an aloe plant, cut off a leaf, split it open and rub the gel onto your forehead. Do this every night before you sleep. Aloe is by far the greatest thing for healing skin whether it's acne, a cut, scars, or burns.

If its really bad then go to the dermatologist and he or she will give you meds.
Tomato juice,it's a bit itchy though.
