Need help with low blood pressure?

I've been in hospital and they let me go home and still aren't 100% sure what is causing me to feel randomly faint,dizzy,sick and breathless.I do already have a low blood pressure in general.I am going to be sent to a specialist but the doctors haven't really given me many options as how to help myself.I elevate my legs and I'm eating chips with salt on them and drinking water and it still doesn't seem to do much and I have a sharp headache.Does anyone else have low blood pressure or hypo-tension?What helped you?

I have it and its a pain in the ass and you're right about the doctors, they really have no clue what it is or how to treat it. If I hear another doctor tell me "well its better than high blood pressure" I'll smack them. I've fainted many many times and its horrible. All I can tell you is take your time when getting up especially when lying down, increase you're salt intake,decrease you're potassium intake, keep your legs above your heart level and also try some chocolte. The best thing to do now is to just go to bed and sleep because it really drains you. There are medications available but once you start them you're on them for I life so I just try to self manage.

Is there a history in your family as its generally genetic. It can be scary when the room starts to spin and everything goes black and next thing you know it feels like people are waking you from a deep sleep but in fact you're just after passing out. The specialist will probably do a tilt test and holster test neither of which are invasive but its best to get checked out

Thank you yeah it's horrible I hate it,it's scary.Im wondering if the medi action I'm already on is causing it but I'm not sure.I do have a bit of an irregular heart beat so they are wondering if that's what is causing me to feel this way,so I have to see a cardiologist.my heart just slows down and then goes bang and then starts going fast again.I spend a lot of time in bed because of it but it doesn't help,apparently lying down for long periods of time can actually cause hypotension,who knows!

I also have a heart murmur, an erratic heartbeat, but have been told they're unrelated. Lying down doesn't cause hypotension. Going from a sitting or lying position to a standing position often brings out symptoms of low blood pressure. This occurs because standing causes blood to "settle" in the veins of the lower body, and this can lower the blood pressure. Low blood pressure. I suffer from 2, postpandrial(after eating) and postural. I try to yourincrease water and salt intake. Drink red bull as believe it or not increasing intake of?caffeine ?constricts blood vessels causing blood pressure to rise, using compression stockings to compress the leg veins and reduce the pooling of blood in the leg veins. I get light headed, fuzzy, see stars, am always very tired/no energy and during my period am worse. Please don't presume my fixes will work for you

Get checked out and look after yourself. Try not to be alone, especially morning time incase you faint

Thanks yeah see caffeine increases my anxiety and actually makes me feel worse,thanks for your help though,think I'm going to have to wait it out till I see the doctor :(

It's okay thank you for your input anyway and well I have tried staying positive and have made goals but it want improved my blood pressure lol.
