Do you and your family members eat dinner together?

I know that a lot of people now, just eat whatever, whenever.

So, that's why I'm asking is there anyone who still has dinner

as a family, at a certin time?

We do,we ususal eat at 5:00 everynight and me and my mom

eat at the kitchen table, while my dad eats at the dining room

table, so he can watch T.V. But, my mom still cooks us a good

meal and we all eat the same thing. I mean sometimes we eat

different things, but it's usually the same!

Now, if you plan on getting married and having kids, do you

want to have a family dinner?

I do, I'm kinda old fashion and I think it's good for the parents

and the kids to eat dinner together and learn about each others

day. Besides, I look forward to saying " Billy! Don't play with

your food! Sally! Don't stick that in your nose! Lucas! Quit

throwing food at your sister! Tiffany! Stop feeding the dog

your dinnner! And Frank ( let's just pretend that's my husband's

name). Please keep your hands to yourself, it's dinner and the

kids are present! lol" I just look forward to all of that, it will

be really wonderful, stressful! But, wonderful none the less! : )

So, do you eat dinner as a family? And, will you when you have

We still eat as a family, around 5:30, although it depends on traffic since now I work across the city and it takes longer for me to get home, sometimes it's closer to 6. I get dinner ready the night before and the first one home either pops it in the oven or heats it up, then we eat when I get home from work. Because my family tends to be picky (my brother especially) I often make a few different things according to their tastes, but we still always eat together.

We've eaten together for as long as I can remember- it was always a rule that you came to the table, did not watch TV while eating (we don't have one anywhere near the kitchen) and you don't talk/text on your cell during dinner either- it's considered rude.

I like that we eat dinner together as with our busy schedules (4 adults in the same house all working and often going different directions after dinner) we don't get a lot of other quality time together. My sister often comes for Sunday dinner with her boyfriend, which is nice too. When I have my own family, I hope to carry on the tradition even though I know we've had some epic dinner table battles in my family (mostly during those stormy teenage years) and I definitely remember spilling my milk all over EVERYTHING at least once a week as a kid lol...

I don't really have family anymore...

but when I lived with my mother and 3rd step-father, he insisted that we have dinner Sunday nights as a family...

But since the divorce, nothing..

When I lived at home with my family, yes, we ate together most of the time. Sometimes it was not possible due to work schedules but it happened as much as possible. I rarely eat with them now since I only see them every 2-3 weeks or so. When, and if, I have my own family we'll definitely eat together when it's possible but it will not be a requirement.

Almost never. my family worked too hard to ever be in the same room around dinner time, and even when they were it just want a thing. not a big deal though :)
