Your first step is to understand that there are many factors that are at play when it comes to weight other than food. Genetics, level of exercise, age, sleep habits and so forth will all play a role.
Here are some suggestions if you haven't done so already:
- See a doctor. Have him run a blood test on you to see if you have any deficiencies. Also, have them check your hormone levels to make sure your body isn't producing an abnormal level of testosterone or estrogen, both of which can throw off your weight. If you do have a hormonal issue, I really recommend Nature's Way DIM supplements, as they can help you regulate them, which sometimes leads to weight loss.
- When the body becomes overweight, it always wants larger portions of food to maintain what fat you already have. The stomach literally becomes larger. Talk with your doctor about whether or not he thinks that might be a good option for you to try a laparoscopic adjustable gastric band to curtail your stomach. This can help you get your appetite in check such that you can eat less without feeling hungry all the time.
- At 4'9", you're a small girl. Loosing weight is hard with such a small frame because it isn't likely you have much muscle overall, and muscle helps burn fat. Have you been doing some weight lifting at the gym? In addition to cardio, get in some resistance training to build up your muscles a bit. Also, try mixing up your workouts. If you've been doing the same routine for a while, the body refuses to often lose more weight. Keep mixing it up, join a group fitness class or talk with a personal trainer for more ideas and emotional support.
- I encourage all women who are overweight to avoid dating. Men that are secure and stable themselves prefer a girl who is of average weight. More often than not, guys that hit on girls who are overweight are very insecure and sometimes even abusive themselves. You don't need that while you're trying to lose weight. If you have a male friend, fine. If you have female friends who are making a serious effort about their own health, great too. Avoid other overweight people that are making bad lifestyle choices, as they can take a physical and emotional toll on you.
- Last but not least, keep getting second opinions. You're still a fairly young woman. Now will be the easiest time of your life to lose the weight and will be much harder when you're older. Healthier people are happier people and you owe it to yourself to be happy for many years to come.
Good luck!

if you're gonna feel miserable about it,then no,of course not. and no,you shouldn't starve either. you just need to try harder. only eat healthy foods, don't try fad diets,go for a lifestyle change-go vegan, use very little oil, salt and sugar-but cook, you need to make your food delicious so you don't get cravings for pizza and crap like that. and of course-only drink water (or unsweetened fresh juice). and eat smaller meals, don't binge on anything, even fruit-it has a lot of sugar. and exercise every day,if you feel sore-don't work those muscles, switch to another muscle group, but don't just lay around. don't quit at any point, even if you're at a plateau stage-don't quit,it'll become a lifestyle soon enough. if you don't lose weight after a year-see a doctor, but you did lose 15 pounds so it's probably just a matter of quitting. and remember link 15 is something
Your Ex sounds mean.
You lose weight for YOU! Not him! You are fine the way you are if YOU'RE happy!
This reminds me of my first ex! He was very abusive and mean.

If you eat healthy and exercise regularly nothing more can be expected of you, don't be too hard on yourself. There will be plenty of guys out there who like you for who you are, don't beat yourself up because your ex was a d*** to you.
