so I asked a guy if he watches the NFL and if so on what channel. (I like watching it but don't have a channel that its on) but I Haven't been watching that long and I don't understand everything. he texted me back saying " oh well sports center is 30 through 33 and when the season starts its 12". can anyone explain to me what this means? :s

It means that the regular season hasn't started yet. Your home team will be playing on channel 12 when it does. The preseason games are on sports center.

I think what he meant is that the ESPN channels that are 30-33 have coverage, and then when the season does start, you can find games on channel 12.
