Listen my mom did weight watchers and it worked wonders my great uncle did it and he lost so much weight so fast.try it.I am currently doing it and struggling cause it's hard to switch to a strict diet and my mind is like a drill dragnet I force myself to do it but even I slip up.I lost 5 lbs so far I'm striving for 35 lbs less and then I'll prob need to lose the same amount you do I'm fat also.Please take my advice also workout it really helps I've been working out for years the cheapest and best workouts are push ups sit ups and running just do them til you can't do them anymore wait ten minutes and then do one minute of running and 10 push ups and sit ups this will work you hard and make you wanna eat more but don't just give yourself something of low points like a ham and chess sandwich with (if you like it) mustard.the mustard isn't fattening even the slightest.

At 56 lbs overweight the best thing you can do is start regularly engaging in moderate intensity exercise, prepare your own meals from fresh meats and produce whenever possible, and reduce calorie intake to a number in between your Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR) and your Total Daily Energy Expenditure (TDEE)
Don't worry about any other details until you get within the healthy weight range and want to start "fine tuning" things.
