His ex contacted me... what should I do?

Dating this guy for 7 months now. on and off. We are getting a bit more serious these days. This past weekend staying with him and his son. The ex found me on Facebook and messaged me. She thinks we broke up back in November and that I don't really talk to him. I told her that I talk to him here and there but we are just friends. She kept telling me that THEY have love. and she still has feelings for him. He has told me since day one he'd never go back to her. What and how am I supposed to do about this? I told him she messaged me. He wasn't happy about it. I asked if I needed to leave. He wanted me to stay. So I did. But now I've just been thinking and thinking about it. Not sure what to do.

The ONLY reason why we try and keep it under wraps with his ex is because she is holding the son they had together over his head with an atty and custody.

See, I had this kind of problem too. My boyfriend doesn't have a child though. The ex girlfriend claimed that her and my boyfriend had plans to get married and that they were so in love and were never gonna be apart and blah blah blah. ((this was also a FB message, I have no idea how she knew who I was)), but anyway, she went crying to my boyfriend's friends about it and for some reason all but one of them took her side but long story short, it's been over a year and they haven't been in contact. What ended up happening was that my boyfriend and I deleted our FBs so that she wouldn't know anything involving our relationship. She just wanted to be with him because he was an idiot and handed over his ENTIRE paychecks to her which is why he's in debt now. What I would do is just ignore the ex because she probably is just trying to make you mad and leave so that she can be with your boyfriend again ((or at least try to))

That is what it seems like. Its just more complicated because a child is involved. You know. This guy is a really good guy. The girl is very typical and not a nice person at all. She wants him to be under her control.

That's how my guy's ex was. Now, she's got some other guy wrapped around her finger which is perfectly okay with me. She made a post a while back saying how she saw my boyfriend in town and about how she never wants to see him again. My thought: "Good, he's my boyfriend now and I don't want you seeing him". My thought is eventually she'll get over it.

Yeah. she admitted to me that she still has feelings for him and that she knows him better than me. Which duh! I've only been dating this guy for 7 months vs their 5 year relationship. BUT obviously it didn't work out. And they have been broken up for 2 years now. They have to have contact with one another I know and understand this. I have children with someone too. BUT I moved on. she hasn't.

You'd think she'd move on after two years. I guess some people never will. I bet if another guy came into her life then she'd move on.

IMO one of two things are going on

He's playing both of you

Or

She wants him back and hopes if she gets rid of you he'll back to her

Honestly I'd try to pay attention to him and try to see how sincere he seems in his feelings for you.

He has been pretty honest with me about her. Except that she didn't know about me. I ran into her at the store one day. she knew who I was. and I had been under the impression she had no clue. He told me prior to her messaging me that she tried to make a move on him and he blocked it, said something insulting (would not tell me what he said) and she got pissed.

You should just block her. She's really causing too much drama in your life.
