Is the wedding dress mandatory for the bride?

I've never seen a wedding picture where the bride is wearing something else than a dress. But I really don't like dresses, in fact I don't own any. A wedding is supposed to be one of the best day of their lives for the couple, but if I ever get married (I know if it happens it will probably be in a bunch of years), I don't think I could live this day to the fullest while wearing something I don't feel comfortable in. What do you think?

  • No, my mother married in a skirt with a jacket, signing a document in about 10 seconds. Anything extra is just to make you feel special.
