Is getting a prenup setting your marriage up for failure?

I would NEVER do a pre-nup.

1. I would never ask my woman to sign a pre-nup. If I don't know her well enough that I require a pre-nup to feel safe, then I shouldn't marry the woman.

2. I wouldn't sign one and, if asked to sign one, I would immediately and irrevocably end the relationship for the same reason I mentioned above plus, she should know better. The fact that she asked me means that she doesn't know me well enough to be married to me.

I am strongly against prenups. They offer a "way out", they anticipate that a couple will encounter problems that they will be unwilling to work through. Plus, prenups can be legally challenged. They're just invitations for trouble.

If you're getting married for love I can't see any reason to have a prenup. Like if you acutally love someone you wouldn't be planning a divorce before the wedding even happens. That's just being greedy and in a loving marriage there isn't any room for greed so why even get married?
If there getting married for another reason then yeah maybe protect your shit cause love is the only real thing that will keep people together.
