Yeah the law does seem to regulate and restrict marriage a lot... Personally I feel like there needs to be a clearer division between the concept of marriage before the law and as a common practice in society. The law likes to be in control in everything and intertwines it with property rights, family rights etc.
plus this from Canada doesn't help globalnews.ca/.../
See this would never happen in the UK. Couples aren't given rights unless they're legally married it's ridiculous.
Lol I feel you!

To each their own and that sounds reasonable :). I agree about the extremely low key ceremony bit. Personally, I like the concept of marriage as a title of commitment to the public.
I understand that and I could get married but it really needs to have gone a long time for me to do that. In my opinion people tend to marry quickly and then it doesn't last very long and there's an expensive divorce on top of the expensive wedding both in terms of time spent and money spent. Maybe I see things very practically and marriage wouldn't make me feel any different and thus I personally don't see the point. It's symbolic but I'm not much for that, I'm not the one who would post my relationship on Facebook even. I just don't see the point as those who I'm close with will know.
Of course, I've learned just how important it is to take your time and make sure you're committing to the right person - that actually, no commitment is much better than the wrong commitment. Nice to see that though, seems like your focus is in the right place :). We have good intentions at the end of the day.
Yeah, the more you squeeze, the more it slips away.Do not care about relationships and all. Focus on yourself, find a hobby, learn a new skill. Just stay away from television as 80% it's about someone's relationships. And you should avoid thinking about it until some new good memories overwrite the the feelings of the past.
@Pitta12 these are really wise words! Thank you for sharing. I’ll take this up.
Looool, you've made my day :)

I think your thought is also romantic it is on way, filled with harmony and beauty. I think it is beautiful to have to your side a person who wants and think so.
Marry me, I mean it, marry me tonight at midnight, I will send you a carriage of fireflies to bring you to me, I am so much love and light, let's try to be happy togheter.
Be the mother of my children and the happiness of my life, be my spark of light in the darkest night, be my north star, be my tears of happiness let me love you in this life and if you have the soul of harmony and passion that you seem to radiate let's meet in another life too, in another world as well and marry again and love each other again in harmony and peace soaked in passion and love.
Even the cynics
Sometimes especially the cynics

Yeah.I was a virgin when I met my ex wife.Because she was my first I worshipped her and I was always loyal to her.Now whenever I meet a woman who's a virgin and she wants to get married, I actually consider it.
