Relationships starting at 20 or 21 years of age, do they last until marriage?

Statistics are sort of relevant here, but how relationships that started at 20 or 21 years of age last until marriage? 5%? 10%? 20%?

What have you witnessed? And what does the research tell us?

Do you think the reason why some relationships don't last until marriage is because of changes in taste of men/women?

At what age would someone start to date "seriously"? 23? 25?

I know these questions are sort of futile, but what are your opinions? And be realistic in your answers please.

  • I think in some senses it would be easier to make it to marriage since they'd probably want to marry soon and still be living in that idealistic mindset (movies - emphasis on a happy ending with little reality of how to get there) instead of the truth.

  • It may or may not. I know my dad and mom are high school sweethearts.

I don't think there should be a specific age for a person to be in a serious relationship.

  • Me and my wife were 18 and 22 meeting. Thats not say it will last.
