- I ordered some plant devices for my mom whose been gardening a lot during the pandemic because they are suspicious of imported vegetables - I also saved over $38 on a book because it was discounted today1|00|0Is this still revelant?
i just bought some plants and flowers today from ikea and so excited to think where to place them! what does she like to grow and how does she do it? where did you buy the book?
We live in a house so we have a backyard available for planting foods - we plant Chinese vegetables and celery leaves and radish leaves and eggplant and tomatoes and kungwa which is a Chinese variant of squash and we also plan on adding kale to our veggie list - we use the internet and Home Depot for guidance cause we are not experts on planting - I bought the book on amazon
that's so awesome! i'm sure the vegetables are both useful and yummy! i'm just venturing into planting myself (i have a little herb planter around and two flowers just now from ikea)-- so excited to see what i can create with some self-taught guidance! are you guys from China originally?

Yes I was born in China and came to Canada as a 4 year old - I speak Chinese with the family friends of my parents generation and I speak English with their children even though we all know Chinese too
I speak only mandarin - my old friend wanted to work as a teller in an Asian area so she learned both Cantonese and Mandarin purely to get the job and she spoke English already
My dad came to Canada first and sponsored us a few years later so my dad lived in Shu Zhou and Shanghai and I lived in Shanghai and Tianjin and Beijing but spent most of my time in Shanghai and Tianjin - I loved their candied hawthorn berry / crab apples in the winter time and the panda ice cream and I adored the crafts like the painted clay figures and paper cut outs and monochromatic single colour mao bi paintings
oh wow! i can tell you still have such a strong connection to where you were born! š thatās super coolā youāre making me miss places iāve never been. iāve heard from friends (white friends- haha) that the food in the various regions is just spectacular, they couldnāt help but gain some weight! xD
Chinese food is tasty but for some reason it made me lose weight - maybe their food is prepared differently - like less or no or different oils or less chemicals in their food or maybe Iām biologically programmed to eat Chinese food so it doesnāt make me gain weight - I read about genetic food typing in a book one time - where different types of genes thrive on different types of diets
thatās part of the reason iām trying to cook some more Chinese food. my mom has been harassing me about my recent āseriousā weight gain ever since i hit my 30s. xD
Well I will give you tips - by consuming high but reasonable amounts of water you lose weight 42% faster and by eating two boiled eggs every morning you lose weight 62% faster and by drinking twinnings pomegranate and raspberry and hibiscus tea you could lose inches in a single month cause it increases bowel movements like crazy. Not good if you have a job where washroom use is restricted but if you donāt have that it helps. Matcha green tea made me lose 5 pounds in 2 weeks and I ate a normal diet while consuming it. It has 10x the antioxidants as regular green tea. I think you also lose weight over 50% faster by eating probiotic yogurt everyday cause it changes your gut bacteria which is responsible for obesity and being overweight.
wow you are so knowledgeable! i really appreciate it. i think i am going to go about it the good old-fashioned way: lots of exercise. unfortunately i've been sedentary for the last about 6-7 years (since i was about 25/26) and it hasn't done wonders for my figure. i'm still young enough that it doesn't bother me that much or the men i'm involved with (they're usually somewhat older than me, so i think they appreciate my 'youth'-- at least on the outside/outset), but apparently it really bothers my mom because she won't stop harping on my 'wasted beauty' whenever we hang out. itās super annoying, and the more i ignore her comments, the more she does it, lol. anyway, itās our moms, what can we do? i might join a local gym association so i can busy myself with some group sportsā water polo looks super fun to me and it would be great if there was a local group. i just like food and sweets too much so i think the best weight loss option for me is to stay active! xD
are you a naturopath/know a lot about chinese medicine? you seem really knowledgeable about the healing arts! =)

I'm not a naturopath just had a lot of spare time which I occupied by researching nutrition and weight loss - my uncle is both a naturopath and an acupuncturist and he has gained a lot of popularity and fame in his small social circle as a Chinese medicine doctor there. He was a university professor in China before moving to America.
i want to be skinny again, i think i may have gained 30-40 pounds from where I was! iām rather tall, so it doesnāt look significant (at least to me) but i want to be able to run like a bird again! :P
low carb is a great way to lose weight but it doesn't work for everybody - I lost 30 pounds in 30 days but my pastor only lost 4 pounds in 6 weeks.
very cool about your uncle! does he live on the east or west coast? i'm on the east coast! yes-- i heard that about carb diets-- i think i heard that it slows down some people's metabolisms too much.
if your metabolism slows down it can be quickly repaired by eating peanut butter for 2-8 days - 2 teaspoons is around 150 calories but will boost your metabolism as much as 3 times.
