You might be on to something. There is a interactive kids museum near where we live and maybe get them a membership. Thanks for that.
Hell yeah. I still remember that huge castle lego set i got one Christmas lol
And anyone saying legos probably know nothing about kids. Don't get kids those. They make a mess and are a hassle for the parents. I literally don't allow Legos in my house
@Apple1996 I would like to upvote your comment and downvote your amendment. I wish GAG would give me the ability to do that!
@Jamie05rhs lol trust me if you were a parent you'd hate Legos too. I'm pretty anti toy in general but Legos are the worst by far
@Apple1996 No, I would not!! I would be extremely proud of my kids for using their creativity and learning how to build. If the pieces get scattered, they can always be gathered again! (The key is that you make THEM pick them up. In doing this, you're teaching them character and a valuable life skill.)
@Jamie05rhs it's not a mess in that way. It's a issue that the toys have to be cleaned put up and out of sight if younger siblings and or pets are in the house since they are dangerous. Also creates a huge issue at playtime if one child wants to play with a toy and the others can't. I tried doing the Legos a few times but there were to many issues. Would possibly be fine if all the kids were about 8+ and or very responsible
Oh. Then the issue is they're just too young.But honestly, there should be a separate room -- or an exclusive corner of one room -- just for LEGOs. That way a kid can work on their project one day and then set it aside and come back to it again the next day. Either that or have dedicated shelf space or a special table.
@Jamie05rhs that still wouldn't work out with younger kids around. Toys being left out is also extremely bad for kids with sensory issues since it's causes over stimulation. That is why I'm just not a fan of toys
"overstimulation". Is that really a thing?
@Jamie05rhs yes its more noticeable with babies and toddlers since they cry/tantrum when it happens but it also happens to older kids too
@Jamie05rhs over stimulus is a thing even with adults so yes
@WowwGirl Okay. Good to know.
