Does it Do your Heart Good to Give to Someone?

Depends what you are giving, not every possession a person owns has equal value and even worse not every reaction the recipient gives is the same, therefore a person could give a possession that they consider important to someone else and then the recipient react in a negative way would do the one who gave it a world of hurt.

An example could be like this, we will use X and Y to fill the gaps.

X made a drawing of Y during class and believed it would make them happy to see. X loves Y and really values this drawing so they are quite nervous about showing it but they want to gift it to Y so they give it to them, after looking at it Y says that they don't like it even if they are of Y so X now has this drawing that has been completely reduced to nothing.

This would be the example of a negative outcome

Whereas another example

X passed by a homeless person and provided them with some food and money, after the homeless person thanked X they parted ways, X felt good about this act of kindness.

But another can be
X was shy to share their emotions on a subject with Y but eventually did, while it felt good to get it off their chest at the time, X later found out Y shared it with others and this made the important secret of X very emotional and no longer feel connected with Y but more depressed over the actions they took.

You see how they vary, giving things can be good but it relies on both individuals to form a good outcome, we cannot see it as just one side where it is always good to give from one end, unless the recipient also provides the positive response, the giving person won't be in a positive outcome.

Yes. I'm not one of those who believe that there is no such thing as a truly unselfish act; that all actions are ultimately selfish because they make the giver feel good about themselves. That's too dark a view of mankind, I think.

I'll be honest, though, I am not much of an anonymous giver, unless it comes to household donations, of which I have given a ton of nice things. My donations are nicer than most.
Generally I like connection, one-on-one. It gives me the most fulfillment. I like privacy, but in relationships, it's about my relationship to the person, usually.
I am an organ donor though. I'll never know the people who benefit from my death. And that's ok.

Yes, but be warned the effect will be damaging if you give it to the wrong person. If you don’t feel good in their presence or with how they treat you. Fight the feeling and be in control of your emotions. Trust me it’s better to be strong than keep returning for another dose of crap. Happy loving!

Yes but I’m nice in a stupid way
A guy in college days didn’t give me some lecture videos he promised they were expensive I was going to buy it for cheap. But he told me he isn’t selling it any longer for no reason. Few weeks later close to finals Smth happened to his laptop and because we were far from home it was not convenient for him to purchase a new one and had no money I gave him my extra laptop I was carrying , for free!
I wanted to show him things you have when it comes to friends don’t make money out of it also be humble bc future is unknown !

Very much so... sometimes in life there are people little less unfortunate and might need a little help or push.. and I definitely believe if you make good money and live above ur means.. then it shouldn't be anything to u.

It does but the best part is, is when you don't know you're going to be giving to somebody when it just happens because you're there at the right place at the right time and you can do it that's what it really means something something deeper to me

Yeah. I guess doing something for someone is the same as giving. I prefer to do favors over giving gifts. If I give a gift it is randomly and because I saw something that made me think of them.
