I can't remember the last time I picked up a blue pen, and I thought to myself, you know what? I don't think I can seem to figure out how this works or it's just too uncomfortable for me, as a lady, to use this pen because it's not pink. Honestly, face palm, and a giant wtf on that one.

Why is it that every time a company feels the need to gender a product for women, it has to be pink or purple? I mean, how I wonder, would I ever know how to use a product other than by color? This is clearly a marketing ploy to get women to not only conform to what is a lame societal norm that women must wear pink and men must wear blue, but it's damn near offensive.

It's not just women's products, it's men's too. Whenever a men's product comes out, it has to be sleek and black, or in blue, and it has to seem more manly or else apparently men can't figure out how to use it either or that it's "for them." It's like come on, already! Color doesn't belong to a gender, it's just color!

And sure, sure, there are plenty of women who love pink and plenty of men who love blue, but the problem comes for women in particular, when we are being charged sometimes nearly double the standard products, or "men's products" for the same exact product, but in another color also known as the Pink Tax whereby companies will charge more simply because of that color on it rather than the product actually costing more to make.

Now obviously, the way around that is to buy the so called men's products, but sometimes, those men's products, when we go into the realm of scented products, have particular smells like woodsy pine scents, that I'm not a fan of vs. the women's more floral or fruity scents, and it's like for f--k's sake, I have to choose to smell like a tree or pay an extra 2 dollars because I'm a woman. Give me a break!
