Is your wifi reliable?

Somedays, the connection is good (4 bars up) as I am the furthest from the modem. And the signal goes weak and disconnects me around 9pm at night. I'm wondering why?

  • Is the router or the modern the issue?

    • None I'd think. But I got a laptop that is not of a good quality. It's an Acer Aspire /e 11.

      I find it strange sometimes it doesn't connect me on weekdays in my room but on weekends it does. Weird?

  • There are many factors that affect the wireless signal strength. First of all I recommend to make a test, use NetSpot app, www.netspotapp.com/wifi-signal-strength.html . Once you've identified areas of low Wi-Fi signal strength, you can take steps to correct it.
    There are some of them:
    moving an access point/router;
    adding a new access point;
    installing Wi-Fi signal repeater or a WiFi extender.
