What are some good brands for water colors?

Also, if I'm water painting, do I need a certain kind of paper, or are normal A4 papers alright? I know this might sound off topic to most of you, but I'm planning to design dresses and clothes and stuff by painting them using water colours.

thank you.

  • Yes you get paper that is thicker than normal and more resistant to water Degredation. However I dont know what brands are good. I paint in oils and use Daler Rowney which is quite good quality. But start with something cheap so you can produce volumes for practicing. If you get better invest in better colors. And most important of all enjoy and be passionate about it! Goodluck my fellow artist!
