Anyone know anything about hiring a private investigator?

Thinking of hiring a private investigator, but I don't know how to go about it... how do you find one and how do you know they're reputable, know what they're doing, and will remain confidential?
Anyone have any experience with this?

  • Why do you need a PI?

    • Getting dirt on someone lying to me, to put it simply. I could go into a much longer explanation, haha.

    • Call a local attorney who does divorces and get a recommendation. Occasionally, we have the need for a PI. In general, you want a PI who is a retired law enforcement person, as they tend to be more professional.
