I get extremely attached and find it very difficult to move on when something or someone is no longer apart of my daily routine. I lost my dog a few weeks ago, and it still makes me sad that she's not around. I miss her a lot and now that I'm getting a new dog soon, I almost feel guilty.

No for the most part but sometimes it's inevitable depending on the person.
Most recently I was attached to this women who I had a ton in common with and was knockout gorgeous. Not to put her on a pedestal but it was refreshing to meet someone like her. I controlled how I acted towards her but sadly she was on the rebound, used me, and led me on only to ditch me after we had sex.
It made it tough because we bonded over our interests and had some amazing dates and times together only for it to end that way.2

Yes I do.
I'm very sorry for the loss of your pet.
Pets become part of the family , so it's natural to feel sad and miss them being around. It's like losing a family member.
When someone has been part of your daily life it's inevitable you'll feel a sense of loss. It can take time to adapt to the change. Plus, you have to face the daunting thought of a future without them. When you've built your future around someone being part of it , you then have to start again, and build a future without them. It's not easy to do , but people have no choice but to be strong and keep moving forward in their lives
