We once had hail the size of baseballs recently. Put holes in people's roof/ceiling/windows. Destroyed their cars/Windows, killed animals. Like at our zoo a vulture died. People were severely hurt and some people died
Damn that's crazy. Were you near the tornado?
Glad you are ok. Shocking something like that happened
Thank you for mho
I slept through a major earthquake and drove during a flash flood.
We should be friends I slept through a tornado and drove in a flood @sugarchateau
a tornado? hahaha
Yeah it came at like 2am
That's actually pretty freaking scary!
Yup, in the old town I lived in, two rather large tornados hit it in the same day, it took half of the town including my house.. thankfully I was in a shelter.. but still terrifying.
i argued with a women once
Oh damn it😂😂😂
Have an opinion?
When I was younger a tornado went through my neighborhood and destroyed some houses. It literally just missed our house. My parents said it was God that spared our home... But I think it was just chance.
I haven't as far as I know but my parents survived earthquakes in China once every 10 years before coming to Canada. My grandma on my dad's dad had a very good marriage - during their 30 year marriage they only had one argument and what was the argument? Some people lost their homes during an earth quake and wanted my grandma and grandpa to take them as refugees and my grandpa did not want to help them but my grandma did. That was their ONLY argument during their entire 30 year marriage.
When I was 10 I was at the zoo and we were put on lock down in the aquarium due to a tornado warning. A pretty bad storm hit, the power went out a few times, and there was some storm damage at the zoo but no tornado. However, the storm did cause a tornado to touch down in my neighborhood.
Glad you're safe. There's a bad storm out over the Hudson.
It blew over. Just cloudy now.
I was praying
Thank you ❤️
@Ava01 no lol. That was 2012. Before I moved here.
@Ava01 oh right... forgotten about Sandy... lined up to get gas
I live in Southern Jersey i remember I was 10.
@Ava01 oh ok
I was at work when a tornado hit the area, didn't hit our store directly but it did toss all the HVAC units on the roof around
So we are neighbors
We got caught in a flash flood in Arizona. And my town got flooded a few times but I wasn't in it.And a few wildfires got really close to my house
Dang you've had a interesting life
YES! I AM the most interesting man in the world. Not some Dos Equis guy
That beer sucks
They've come close but never a direct hit. But dayum those pics though!
I took one
The place where I used to live with my ex was opposite from an open area that had various growths (grass, shrubs, wild flowers, a few scattered trees etc).It caught on fire and we could see the flames coming closer each second, they reached up to 200meters from our yard. We had to abandon the place till the fire department had it under control (which took almost 2 days) for safety reasons to make sure it wouldn't spread to our house.
I've also experienced a bunch of earthquakes, which are very common were I am from.
I've been in 2 tornadoes (1 about a mile or two away, the other an F0 with minimal damage), lots of earthquakes, some flash flooding (luckily I lived on the 4th floor), and had a nearby volcano erupt and send ash to where I lived (not a deadly amount though). So I've experienced quite a few natural disasters, but luckily they didn't affect me much.
Forgot to mention the strongest earthquake I was in was around a 7 on the Richter scale. Where I lived gets a loy of earthquakes so that didn't do much damage.
Thankfully, God has always shielded me from the weather, among other things, not once have I ever experienced a natural disaster in person, even when going through the infamous "Tornado Alley" on a number of occasions.
May 10th 2008. My family's houses were hit and demolished by an ef5 tornado. We were displaced from May into September or October. We moved for months from hotel to hotel, staying with other family or temporarily living in a roach infested trailer someone borrowed from a relative. We made it through though, and we just "celebrated" our eleventh anniversary this past May the 10th.
Not really. A few tremors but the last major earthquake here happened a year and half before I was born. The closest to a natural disaster I have seen was some heavy rains that temporarily flooded out some streets locally. Well heavy rains for here. Our streets are poorly designed for dealing with a lot of rain.
Been in a few pretty big earthquakes (I live in cali)And one hurricane that turned into a tropical storm by the time it reached me (I was visiting a friend in South Caroline that turned into a girlfriend on that trip). And the rain and thunder just made the sex and the uddling better
Blizzards and forest fires are pretty common back home.
Been under some tornado warnings, never been in a building the tornados actually hit though also seen straight line winds, often that's scarier than a tornado
Blizzard if that counts.Just had a storm lasted about 15 m.Glad you are okay
No. There was a big hurricane where I’m from about 7 or 8 months ago, but fortunately my whole family moved to NYC for a while before it got rough.
Not that I know of. I'm in area with pretty much no natural disasters. Floodings have been prevented by investing many billions (and remaining to doing so) since the 1950s, and we just don't have any volatile weather here in the Netherlands
I've been in a kfc that ran out of chicken. God it was awful.
We got caught in hurricane Andrew while on a cruise.Plus a 10" rain locally that had us sucking up water with a shop-vac for 34 hours straight.
Had to evacuate for Hurricane Florence. A few tornados when I was up in Indiana.
Tornados. Currently there are floods happening near me supposedly.
Not yet but there have been many warnings of them that I have lived through
Well. I was in Indonesia during the 2004 earthquake. wasn't near the epicentre though. Was in the mid-north of Sumatra.
and a couple floods as well.
Ya earthquake. It was small and I honestly liked it.
Wow nice photos. Glad you're okay. No we don't really get them in Australia.
(Tornadoes that is... we don't get those. We get everything else.)
I’ve been caught in an earthquake in northern Italy and a hurricane (sandy) in eastern USA
Nope. I’ve seen a few tornados in the far away distance. That was it. Glad to hear you are okay
That looks crazy:/. I heard something like 27 tornadoes forming in 24h. I am glad you are doing fine.
Just a small flood, my friends house had water 2 foot high above his front door. But he lived right next to the river.
Yes 1 time while i was driving on the PA turnpike a tornado storm pretty much hit me but hot Lucky, scary shit
About three hurricanes four minor earthquakes and multiple storms
Not a bad one thankfully. But i live in Florida so its pretty much a hurricane every year.
April 10, 1979. Terrible Tuesday Wichita Falls, Texas tornado. Lost everything
Yes hurricane wilma and Irma luckily I didn’t get the worst of Irma.
Crazy wind storm a couple months ago.Couple small earthquakes.
nothing major. a minor flood combined with a big thungderstorm.
OMG no thank goodness 😇
Pinks my neighbor
No lol @pink2000
@Pink2000 your famous...
No that was funny
Just a few earthquakes.
Yeah, they can be. Growing up in California, specifically SoCal, you always hear everyone talk about "The Big One" and how it's overdue and whatnot, so yeah, that's not frightening at all. 😐
Plenty of hurricanes. Flood but not flooded where my residence was.
Yes, I have been through a flood.
almost when i had crossed into Oklahoma
Several hurricanes. But my house was OK.
I witnessed an earthquake but luckily no one died.
A hurricane and an earthquake!
You took these?
Sweden, worse was a very loud lightning lol
Yeah the disasters with human beings 😐
Been in a couple hurricanes
Yes i have in 3 tornadoes so far
Nah not really those things don't come by me
No I haven't.
Yeah. I'm in one right now. It's called society.
Yes, hurricanes and flash floods.
I've never have!
Nope I have not thankfully.
