Just about everything. I'm a George Carlin, Bill Burr, Jimmy Carr, Sam Kinison, Richard Pryor, Jerry Clower, Kathleen Madigan, Chris Porter, The Amazing Johnathan, Chris Rock, Anthony Jeselnik, Jen Kirkman and John Mulaney kinda fan.
Those are two of my Top 3 right there. Chappelle is the third, no particular order. I like them a lot I think because they’re very insightful and see through a lot of the same stuff in life that we see as bullshit, particularly George Carlin. All three guys mirror the majority of my thoughts and perceptions of life, so not only do they articulate it it in a hilarious manner, I also philosophically agree with them.Outside of stand-up, I’d say my favorite brand of comedy is “cringe humor”, basically those characters on shows and in movies who are major league assholes and just say incredibly rude or crass things in inappropriate venues, and they either don’t care or don’t know any better. You just don’t really run into it in real life, and it’s just so funny to me to see people just let loose and say those things we wish we could say but we’d be chastised or ostracized by the rest of society if we did😂Jared Keeso as Shoresy on Letterkenny...https://youtu.be/RHIr4YCHBokRodney Dangerfield as Al Czervik in Caddyshack...https://youtu.be/5dgxzItaQzwChris Diamantopoulos as Russ Hanneman on Silicon Valley...https://youtu.be/kOfo0QiJWSkSeann William Scott as Steve Stifler in the American Pie movies...https://youtu.be/QWGXIKjF3x4Danny McBride as Kenny Powers in Eastbound & Down...https://youtu.be/bgDaVLCaBzQJeremy Piven as Ari Gold in Entourage...https://youtu.be/jNpMyiD7100
Self-deprecating, improvisational, observational, physical, dark, maybe in that order. Usually I'm trying to put a positive spin on things in a funny way to ease tension and make people comfortable.Every now and then I like dark as well and for a similar reason but a tiny bit provocative if someone seems a bit uptight as an attempt to try to make them more comfortable with darker subject matter and also to test the boundaries a bit. It's the riskiest type of humor I use but I find it can make people more comfortable with me and open up more if successful (although it has the highest risk of failing).
Occasionally I use sarcasm but with a very warm and affectionate tone, not dry and cold. I don't use it as a way to deliver backhanded insults or anything like that, more to show how much I'm paying attention to the person/situation. It blurs with observational humor in my case.
Also, my sarcasm often blends in with "self-flattering" humor which actually becomes self-deprecating humor, like I might tell people that I'm such a genius and pat myself on the back when I accomplish something anyone can do, actually making it rather obvious that I'm poking fun of myself instead of boasting. :-D
I tend to like sardonic humor I love well argued satire Off the top of my head are some artists I have found to be very clever Charlie Chaplin Richard PryorOscar WildeRoberto BenigniGilda Radner Woody Allen Marc MaronLouis CKGeorge Bernard Shaw Jim BelushiSteve Martin
Understand an outgoing.. Able to laugh an can find humor within all things serious or not. Make jokes of how my kid is he my kid or my nephew... Shit best wait till he gets a little older an see who he resemble more... Making hurt into funny is a great power making others find humor in that is even more powerful.. We cover or disguise hurt an disorder with things that bring the worst things into manageable or even funny things an you can get through the worst with minimal lifelong damage
A wide variety… Just to toss out a few names Bill Burr, Dave Chappelle, Jeff Dunham, Brian Regan, Gabriel Iglesias, Adam Ferrara, Reggie McFadden, Pablo Francisco, Carlos Mencia, Otis Lee Crenshaw, Ron White, Kevin Hart, etc. There are plenty of comics that have had good sets.
Haha i recently rewatched a lot of carlins shows. What immediately comes to mind is his "get in there get right in there!" to having a dog that smells up ppls croaches. Also been (re) watching chappelle and some kevin hart, though hart isn't that funny in my opinion, so much has to do about insecurities about being the man and his small height. Eddie izzards dressed to kill is an all time favourite. Not familiar with bill burr.
A good one just depends on tine and place is all what type of humor she brings. Cause sometime she so sweet and then at others she such a fuckin lady but either way I will live her so. And that's all that matters.
I love Bill Burr as well. Humor that isn't just funny but makes you think, you know. Intellectual humor is my favorite. But I also like satirical humor, Family Guy being an excellent practitioner of that.
I want a guy who can mock people in a cute and childish way
I like dark humor. Bill Burr is pretty good. John Pinet was amazing. I also liked Chris Farleys movies, but overall gallows humor is my favorite.
The really random stupid kind, you know like the dumb inside jokes you have with your friends.
I like comedians who aren't afraid to be morbid and dark and "politically incorrect." I like humor when it's shocking
I like most humor as long as it's clean. Tim Hawkins, Bob Smiley, and Jim Gaffigan are my favourite comedians, and I enjoy sarcasm or a good pun.
What About Bob is my favourite comedic movie.
Observational, improvisational, sarcastic and dark.
I think almost everyone responding is a fan of Comedy and likes Bill Burr hahaha I personally love the guy because he imbodies my internal emotion and loud voice everytime I go to work 😂 but dark humor is always a winner for me.
Witty, sarcastic, dark, morbid, twisted, sexual, all with precise timing
A little sarcastic and genuinely funny. I really do not like crude or vulgar humor though.
Dark humor is always fun, I also enjoy sarcasm and very much puns.
Awesome. I'm exactly the same. George Carlin, Bill Burr and Louis are my favorites.
Like music, food, and a few other things, I like variety.
"Family Guy" humor. Sarcastic humor as well. I always feel like it's not personal, just comedy!
Any clever humour obviously, but I praise comedians who take it to extremely dark levels
The wrong sort. I laugh at dead baby jokes, racist jokes, sexist jokes, literally every bad joke that would send you to hell. And puns. I love puns.
Carlin was the best. I don't understand the office or parks and recreation. I don't know what its called because I don't understand it
i'm a dark humor, dry and sarcastic kind of guy ;) so Bill Burr is right up my alley ;)
