I remember once in cali there was so much ash in the air I seriously looked like it was snowing but you reach out to grab a snowflake only to find its all ash
In 2006 😂 they still sent us all to school and had us do pe. Lmfao
That was from the ring of fire! It was raining ash from LA to the IE.
It's hell fire here, the sun is just too damn hot over here
I feel it. There’s two going in my town right now on opposite sides 🤦♀️ Be safe!
Thanks you too
No its hurricane season here
Nope. Fortunately it never happened here. I live in a dry state but it's just rare here for forest fire or whatever you can say. It never happened due to heat even when it crosses the 45 degree Celsius mark in the summer. Yeah but it's really hot here when it's summer. It feels as if you're sitting in the Owen.😅
Yeah but we’ve had a mild summer with more rainfall than usual so it’s been pretty uneventful this year. We’ve had maybe 4 days of bad air quality due to fires which is pretty damn good
It's Raining like Hell over India. Haven't seen Sun in 8 days
Send some rain this way!
its turning from summer to grey and raining here but the air does have the smell of the usual straw fires started by arsonists as farmers try to store their winter animal bedding in huge stacks
I did not know that was a thing. My opinion of humans just sank to a new low
@nailu it happens in the uk every year though i must say a few vandal attacks on some stacks of straw are hardly the same as whats happening in brazil and bolivia right now
We humans have been vandalizing those forests for decades, of not centuries. It’s a pity
@nailu yeah but now its getting to critical levels where there is no going back
No disagreement there. It’s more than ever before... basically out of control. I see no solution. Maybe when everything is gone there will be an interest in reclaiming some of it, but that is likely decades away. The damage is done, and getting worse
We don't have that in New England
See the problem is twofold,Southern California is not only a desert but like much of the west, fire is necessary to the reproductive cycle of much of your Flora. This combined with climate change is really going to fuck over Southern California
I couldn’t even send my kid to school today the smoke is so damn bad🤦♀️
And it’s not supposed to get below 80 degrees where I live until like mid December
I'm sorry the 80 degrees thing makes it so I can't stop laughing, we start seeing that in MA in late August. We often get our first snowfall in mid to late October
Yep I was close to the Susanville fire
It could be, but nothing is on fire atm
Nope. Two month til deer season!!
wtf is fire season?
It’s where everything dries up from lack of rain and causes fires
like spontaneous combustion?
It’s usually over by now but this global warming is no joke. The spot that’s burning by me hasn’t burned since 1924. Expected to be over 5000 acres. Hopefully I’m not evacuated any time soon.
Yes it is
nope just hurricane
